A short Recap for my English speaking friends

I quit my job recently and will be travelling the world soon or at least a part of it. After my return from travelling through Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia last year I knew I wanted to go back and explore the rest of South America. I knew I didn’t want to wait 10 years or more before taking off for the next trip and it turned out well – I was true to my oath, because I quit at the end of September and will be leaving in about a month.

In Switzerland it’s common to have a 3 months notice period – that’s why I have been working until the end of December – now I am on holidays and soon will be „unemployed“, „self-employed“ or whatever you would like to call it. I think of it as time off – time off from work as a marketing manager but with enough time to gather new experiences, inspirations and to learn new things. In German I’m calling it „in the name of freedom“ – because I will be free to do whatever I choose, free from compulsory things (except paying taxes – you know: there’s nothing certain in life apart from death and taxes -Benjamin Franklin), free to live my dreams, free to come back whenever I choose to.

I’ll be leaving withouth big plans. I know I will spent the first 3 weeks in Buenos Aires, going to school, improving my Spanish, living an argentinian life – and then I’ll be off to Patagonia, travelling, trekking and soaking up all the influences I can.

I will be blogging about my experiences, share pictures, moments, thoughts and maybe even some of my poems with you.
